Nine from Hickox, Wills-Demello lead Dartmouth lacrosse

Shelby Hickox scored five goals and Carissa Wills-Demello added four more as Dartmouth defeated New Bedford, 16-6.

Hannah Bogen and Riley Marion each added two goals for the Indians (4-4-1, 4-2-1 Maritime), and Shelbie DeMello, Taylor Nesbit and Lily Siegel added one apiece.

"We played well on both sides of the ball," Dartmouth coach Laura Magno said. "New Bedford has some pretty athletic girls, and our defense really shut them down."

Megan Beaulieu, Andrea Nogueira, Shelby Friedland, Emilie Pires and Melissa Medeiros had goals for the Whalers (2-5). Nora Costa and Nogueira had assists, while defensively, Medeiros logged an interception.

Alysses Mosquea made 17 saves in net for the Whalers.

"We're battling injuries right now. We're down a couple of starters," New Bedford coach Seanna McRae said.

Dartmouth hosts Falmouth today, and New Bedford travels to Bourne on Saturday.
